At Lynchland, we want to function as a team - inspiring and encouraging each other. Comments below are from both current and past members (if there is such a thing as a past member) of Team Lynchland!

From Elizabeth H: "As Jackie put it, I am a unique boarder in that I have been riding at Lynchland through a variety of levels; I started out taking lessons, then I half-leased Edge, then I bought Edge, and now I work off part of my board here at the barn and still take lessons when I can. I have volunteered/worked at 4 other boarding facilities in Fort Collins and have yet to find a barn superior to Lynchland in any way! I've also had the experience of keeping my horse in my backyard, and while I learned a lot during that time, when I came back to Lynchland it was a weight off my shoulders...I could sleep in, I could travel, I don't have to worry about his safety. Lynchland is like my home away from home. The people I have met here are some of the nicest, warmest and most welcoming people I've ever met (which is rare in the horse world)! You couldn't pay me to leave!:)

Melinda and Bob:

In August 2006, Jackie was called to look at a Thoroughbred gelding at a feedlot in Loveland - the horse was scheduled to be sent to the slaughter yard the following day. This horse had been in a small pen with at least 20 other horses, including 2 aggressive stallions. The horse was clearly just off the track, and still wearing his aluminum slicks. He was christened "Baabeldaub" - an island in Micronesia - and nicknamed "Bob". Within a few days, we were able to track down Bob's pedigree - finding his true name was "I Am, I Said", and a grandson of the famous Seattle Slew! After several months of feeding and training, Bob was purchased by Lynchland student Melinda M. - who has continued his training, and provided the TLC required to make this horse the beauty he is today!

Amazing what a little food can do.

Katey G and Gallahad

I rescued Gallahad from the New Holland “Kill” Auction in 2000. He was untrained and fearful of many things, but I worked very hard to gain his trust and friendship, and train him to become the horse he is today.  After a long trailer ride from Pennsylvania, Gallahad and I are happy to be at Lynchland Stables where we have plenty of friends and tons of jumps to jump! We can most often be seen flying high on the cross country course. Gallahad loves peppermints, fruit loops, and giving kisses, and is currently being used in Lynchland's lesson program.
